The boulders sit nestled in the edges of the path as we walk the track that winds it’s way up the mountainside. The ground damp as the winter rains have settled in our part of the world. Gumtree’s drip with raindrops and the mist gently sits in the air as if hanging by an invisible thread. My connection to the earth beneath my feet ground me in the feeling of belonging to something bigger than myself.
