Marina explores themes of fragility and resilience through her finely crafted porcelain works, each piece a three-dimensional painting; a quiet meditation on transformation 🦋 Guided by feeling rather than a plan, Marina hand-carves and paints each vessel either at the greenware stage or after bisque firing. Gold veins, striations, and subtle colour washes echo the human experience — our challenges, strengths, and inner beauty 💜

Gippsland’s diverse, picturesque landscapes and breathtaking coastal views offer endless inspiration for artists. Leigh Rust, in particular, is drawn to painting en plein air, immersing himself in the atmosphere of a place as much as the scene before him.

From the golden glow of a South Gippsland sunset tracing the curves of the coastline to dappled light filtering through towering Strzelecki gums, and the quiet charm of rural vistas—Leigh’s paintings beautifully capture how light shapes the land and transforms the mood of the day.

From her studio in beautiful East Gippsland, Wendy Reeve draws endless inspiration from her surroundings. Her fascination with the natural world—textures of leaves, seedpods, and lichens—is evident in her stunning creations, which reflect nature’s balance and intricate details 🌿

Wendy’s love for clay began in her teenage years, leading her to earn a degree in ceramics at RMIT in Melbourne. Her work spans functional tableware to decorative vessels and sculptural creations, with a focus on Raku firing, a traditional Japanese technique blending precision and spontaneity.

Each of Wendy’s pieces undergoes a series of transformative stages—wheel-thrown, bisque-fired, glazed, and finally Raku-fired—with numerous variables influencing the final outcome. No two works are ever the same.

Wendy’s clay works embody the interplay of fine craftsmanship and the dynamic Raku process; entirely unique pieces imbued with the essence of East Gippsland’s natural beauty.
