Trained by a master metal-smithing craftsman in Germany, Wolfgang Schulze immigrated to Australia in 1960.  In 1964 he hand-built a small furnace and started experimenting in enamel work and jewellery.  Over time Wolfgang’s preferred medium of silver pewter saw his work progress to include a range of beautiful collectable serving-ware and jewellery inspired by the native wildflowers of Australia.

Each of Wolfgang’s pieces start with a rough sketch; his ideas change throughout the creation process.  He uses knives, chisels, files and a rotary tool to carve his intricate designs out of pewter, often taking days to complete each design. A mould is then made and limited editions of the product are produced.  Each piece is then individually hand finished by Wolfgang ensuring the highest quality.

Wolfgang Schulze Australian Pewter products are made from non-toxic, lead free Australian pewter.  A mixture of silver, tin and bismuth imbue each piece with more of a silver finish than traditional pewter products.
