Steve Innes creates handmade artisan furniture and timber bird sculptures inspired by the natural beauty of Australia. His work reflects a deep appreciation for native birds and the distinctive character of local timbers. From statement coffee tables and hall consoles to small sculptural birds, each piece is individually crafted with care and attention.

Working from his studio in country Victoria, Steve uses sustainably sourced timber, often repurposing old hardwood fenceposts and off-cuts. His creative process is guided by the timber itself—its grain, imperfections and inherent charm. No two works are ever the same.

His latest collection, a playful series of rocking birds, is crafted from a mix of salvaged timbers from his workshop. Each bird is one of a kind, ultra-smooth to the touch, and finished with a durable hard wax that enhances the natural beauty of the wood.
