Influenced by the work of Impressionist artists, in particular the Heidelberg School artists, Julie Lundgren-Coulter is drawn to exploring Victoria’s beautiful coastal and rural countryside close to her South Gippsland home.  Julie’s earth pigment, oil and pastel paintings capture her connection with daily life ‘on the land’ and her fascination with the way light and climatic conditions transforms the landscape around her.
