Chris Gavins is an Australian born professional sculptor who lives and works from his home studio in Toowoomba, Queensland.
His finely detailed work in bronze, glass and stone is highly prized by Australians and overseas visitors – who appreciate the beauty of the native Australian fauna and sea-life captured timelessly in Chris’ expressive sculptures.
The use of opal has been an element of the artworks for most of his career, using ‘Boulder Opal Specimens’ sourced from the Quilpie area of far western Queensland.
