About Us

Town & Country Gallery takes great pride supporting Australian creatives, in particular, Gippsland artists and makers.

The gallery enjoys a close relationship with every artist represented; Jo, John and their team passionately showcase all artworks, textiles and jewellery in a beautiful, accessible environment, where customers feel unhurried and comfortable browsing the unique collection.

Our inspiring artists continue to passionately create the most wonderful works throughout the challenges facing them.  Between our visits to artists’ studios and deliveries through the gallery doors; there’s always boxes of gorgeous glass-works, ceramics or jewellery to unpack; stunning paintings to hang and sculptures to install… you’ll be delighted to find something exciting and new every time you visit.

We liaise with many artists on behalf of our clients to create special pieces to order; we also provide quotes for delivery and offer Lay-By options, so feel free to make contact with any queries and we’ll be most happy to follow up your requests.

We look forward to hearing from you or chatting with you on your next visit Yarragon, our quaint little tourist town in the heart of beautiful West Gippsland, Victoria.

ABOUT TOWN & COUNTRY GALLERY

Established in 1989, Town & Country Gallery is a highly-regarded destination sought out by overseas visitors seeking special Australian-made gifts; travellers seeking to enjoy the ever-changing exhibition of fine art and hand-crafted works and collectors keen to purchase a statement piece for their home or garden.

You’ll find the gallery nestled amidst cafes and boutique shops in the heart of Yarragon tourist village. With the rolling green hills of the Strzelecki ranges to the south and stunning views of the Baw Baw ranges to the north, Yarragon Village is a picturesque rural town in Gippsland, Victoria with a rich dairy-farming history. Although herds of contented dairy cows still roam the fertile pastures surrounding the town; agriculture in the area has grown to boast so much more.

With B&B’s dotted along the meandering country roads, you’ll discover a breath-taking view at each turn: rows of grape-vines, olive groves, orchards, lush plantations of organic vegetables and berries, paddocks of flowers and magnificent bushland, home to the local native, Strzelecki Gum.

A GIPPSLAND FOCUS

The earthy abundance and eclectic nature of West Gippsland is reflected in the colourful, hand-picked palette of quality fine art and hand-crafted works you’ll discover at Town & Country Gallery.

Proudly supporting Australian made, the gallery encourages emerging creatives to exhibit alongside well-respected, high profile artists. A strong Gippsland focus is evident across all mediums, including: contemporary paintings, prints and works on paper, stunning hand-blown glass, ceramics, sculptures and rustic garden art.

Fabulous ranges of gemstone, resin and exquisite handmade jewellery feature alongside leather bags, eco-dyed scarves, remarkable timber works and an extensive range of art-cards and books.

Visitors of all ages are welcome at Town & Country Gallery. The gallery is spacious and fully accessible for those with prams and by wheelchairs.
