“I use precious metals and embrace the essence of objects, man-made and natural.
Selecting forms from everyday life and interpreting them in miniature sculptural form,
I explore intrinsic worth and beauty.”
Alannah Sheridan is a graduate of the NMIT Advanced Diploma (Jewellery) course and currently studying Fine Arts (Gold & Silver-smithing) at RMIT, Melbourne. She was raised in the Latrobe Valley, Victoria, where she undertook Visual Arts studies at the Gippsland Institute of Advanced Education.
Alannah’s work is contemporary, original and of a high level of finish; to these qualities she adds a sprinkle of humour and whimsy… finding the ‘beautiful’ in everyday objects and translating this to precious objects – wearable art.
